The forecast was for some active skies overnight with the Northern Lights and with the clear skies the past few days it was a must to go and check them out

When looking at these two figures you will find a different look from any direction you view the piece which makes it interesting to photograph

Spending some time to capture the scene brought me the above photograph as well as some wet feet from standing on the landing for a couple of shots as well

I headed to Sloans Lake for some afternoon light on a November afternoon

Lighthouse at Cabrillo National Monument Size:18"x24" and on this evening IThe old lighthouse in Cabrillo National Park sits on top of the park, however there is plenty of more to do from whale watching in the winter, checking out the tide pools on the west side of the park or checking out the skyline of San Diego. Due to the location of the park it closes at 5: 00 PM, which means the nice light you will find for photography is limited to a few months of the year.
